Caminito de Huancayo
::: Caminito de Huancayo :::
Caminito de huancayo
It is located about 1 kilometer far away from Huancayo in El Tambo district.
This is the entrance to Huancayo if you take the road that takes you to Huancayo
by the right border of the river, just after "La Breña" Bridge.
It is totally surrounded by typical and representative flowers and
plants that grow in the highlands.
The yellow flowers, that surround this place, are called by native people
as "retama"
Caminito de Huancayo
Since this place you may appreciate the capricious way in which the river
goes and irrigate the valley.
Native people really like this place and that is the reason because a
man composed a beautiful song that is part of the folk now.
These are the lyrics of this beautiful song translated for you to understand:
Caminito de Huancayo
Surrounded by retama
How much times have I cried?
Under your branchs shadow
Pichuichanca (this is the name of a bird) of bad luck
why do you sing so early?
If you know I'm still sleeping
In my darling's arms.
